My name is Ms. Kristen Lawson, and I am so excited to be your teacher at Epic Charter School! I am a coach, mentor, and educator. I have 15+ yrs. teaching experience, most of those specifically working at charter schools with independent study students (grades 4th, 7th, 9th, and 10th taught). I have a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential with S.D.A.I.E. and Math Emphasis and have graduated over 400 families! I have my Masters in Education, M. Ed. from UCLA and National University. I am also a Certified Athletic Administrator and a Certified Notary for LA County.
I was born and raised in West Covina, CA. My favorite color is purple and my favorite food is sushi. I have a son, Jackson, who is both 8 years old. I attended California State University, Fullerton on a tennis scholarship. I have been lucky enough to have traveled to 13 countries and 45 states. Some of my favorites were London, St. Lucia, Cuba, New York, and the Florida Keys. I cook, play tennis and softball, like yoga, make jewelry and write. I enjoy getting together with friends and family. I love animals, Sci-Fi shows, movies, and sleeping.
